6-[3-(Trifluoromethyl)phenyl]pyridazin-3-ol is a medicament that belongs to the class of anti-tumour agents. It was shown to have antitumor activity against liver cancer in mice. 6-[3-(Trifluoromethyl)phenyl]pyridazin-3-ol inhibits the growth of tumor cells by binding to the nucleus and preventing transcription of DNA into RNA. This drug also inhibits erythrocyte proliferation and increases the rate of apoptosis, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of proteins required for cell division.
