CAS :Ketorolac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that has been shown to be cytotoxic to human lymphocytes. The mechanism of this cytotoxicity may involve an inhibition of epidermal growth factor receptor, which is an intracellular target for the drug. Ketorolac has also been shown to inhibit the proliferation of mesenchymal cells in culture. Ketorolac has a pharmacologic effect on human serum and can affect women's fertility. These effects are not seen with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Ketorolac is used as an analytical method for estimating fatty acid levels in biological samples. This drug also reduces the growth of cancer cells and inhibits tumor growth in mice by blocking the production of certain growth factors in the body.
