CAS :Cyhalothrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that inhibits the synthesis of choline acetyltransferase and acetylcholinesterase in the nervous system, causing paralysis and death. It has been shown to be effective against many bacterial strains, including those with high resistance. Cyhalothrin has been found to cause liver lesions in rats and mice when given in doses exceeding 100 mg/kg/day for two weeks or more. Chronic exposure to cyhalothrin may result in increased activity of cytochrome P450, an enzyme that metabolizes xenobiotics in the liver.
