4-[4-(Ethoxycarbonyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl]benzoic acid is an inhibitor of the protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B. This drug binds to the ATP site and competitively inhibits the binding of ATP, which results in the inhibition of the catalytic activity of this enzyme. 4-[4-(Ethoxycarbonyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl]benzoic acid has been shown to inhibit ion channels, such as nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, as well as other protein interactions like receptor interaction.
