CAS :4,5-Dihydro-4,5-dioxo-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-f]quinoline-2,7,9-tricarboxylic acid (DHPDC) is a coenzyme that can be synthesized by oxidation of the corresponding trifluoroacetate ester. DHPDC is a strong electron donor and has a redox potential of +0.28 V. The enzyme can catalyze the formation of disulfide bonds in proteins by oxidizing cysteine residues. DHPDC is also an important component of many biological processes such as the synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids. It does this by transferring electrons from one molecule to another. This process is known as reduction. DHPDC may also have anti-inflammatory properties which make it useful for treating human diseases caused by wild type strains or human pathogens such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staph
