Description :
Fer, avec le numéro CAS 7439-89-6, est un métal de transition et l'un des éléments les plus abondants sur Terre, principalement trouvé dans la croûte et le noyau terrestre. Il a un numéro atomique de 26 et est représenté par le symbole Fe, dérivé du mot latin "ferrum". Fer est connu pour son éclat métallique, sa malléabilité et sa ductilité, ce qui en fait un matériau polyvalent dans diverses applications. Il présente un point de fusion élevé et est un bon conducteur de chaleur et d'électricité.
