Description :
Praséodyme est un élément chimique avec le symbole Pr et le numéro atomique 59, appartenant à la série des lanthanides du tableau périodique. C'est un métal blanc argenté qui est relativement mou et malléable, exhibant un éclat brillant lorsqu'il est fraîchement coupé. Praséodyme est connu pour ses propriétés uniques, y compris sa capacité à former une variété d'états d'oxydation, principalement +3 et +4, qui contribuent à son comportement chimique diversifié. Il est modérément réactif, ternissant à l'air et réagissant avec l'eau pour former de l'hydroxyde de Praséodyme. Cet élément est principalement utilisé dans la production d'aimants permanents puissants, ainsi que dans diverses alliages et céramiques, en particulier dans les industries du verre et de la céramique où il confère une couleur jaune.
