Description :
Hydroxyde de tétraméthylammonium (TMAH) est un composé d'ammonium quaternaire avec la formule chimique (CH₃)₄NOH. Il se présente généralement sous la forme d'un liquide incolore et visqueux ou d'un solide dans sa forme pure. Le TMAH est hautement soluble dans l'eau et dans les solvants organiques polaires, ce qui en fait un réactif polyvalent dans diverses applications chimiques. Il agit comme une base forte en raison de la présence de l'ion hydroxyde, ce qui lui permet de déprotoner facilement les acides. Le TMAH est couramment utilisé dans l'industrie des semi-conducteurs pour le développement de photorésist et comme catalyseur dans la synthèse organique.
