CAS :
8-Methylquinazoline is an antibacterial agent that binds to bacterial DNA and inhibits the synthesis of DNA. It has been shown to have affinity for pyridones and quinones, which are important for the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. 8-Methylquinazoline has been shown to be active against Gram-positive bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus and Mycobacterium tuberculosis, but not Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli or Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This drug also blocks toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) in macrophages, which prevents the release of proinflammatory cytokines. The pharmacokinetics of 8-methylquinazoline is still under investigation.
Formule :C9H8N2Degré de pureté :Min. 95%Masse moléculaire :144.17 g/mol
