CAS :Produit contrôléMescaline hydrochloride is a synthetic alkaloid that is an acetyl derivative of mescaline. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of schizophrenia, and it binds to the same receptor as dopamine. Mescaline hydrochloride also has a long-lasting effect on locomotor activity and induces epileptiform activity in rats. It has been shown to have anticonvulsant properties in vitro and can induce chemical changes in the brain that are similar to those seen in schizophrenic patients. However, mescaline hydrochloride has not been extensively studied for its potential psychological effects or blood pressure lowering effect.
