Methyl 3-(2-oxo-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3-yl)propanoate is a corrosion inhibitor that has been shown to be very efficient at inhibiting the corrosion of metals. It is also an effective synergist for other corrosion inhibitors and its synergistic effects are due to its ability to evolve gas when it reacts with potassium. Methyl 3-(2-oxo-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3-yl)propanoate can be used in a wide range of temperatures, from -5°C to 100°C. The inhibition efficiency of this compound is dependent on the concentration and temperature.
