2',3'-Dideoxyguanosine-5'-triphosphate (ddGTP) is a nucleotide analog that inhibits the formation of DNA and RNA, which are important for protein synthesis. It is used in clinical studies to assess prognosis and to evaluate drug elimination. ddGTP has been shown to inhibit mitochondrial membrane potential, decrease mitochondrial superoxide, and inhibit cancer growth.
