8-Allyloxy-N2-isobutyryl-2-deoxyguanosine is an anticancer drug that has been modified to be resistant to degradation by nucleases. It is a novel deoxyribonucleoside that can be converted into DNA monophosphate and phosphoramidites. 8-Allyloxy-N2-isobutyryl-2-deoxyguanosine is able to inhibit the synthesis of viral RNA and diphosphate, as well as the production of ribonucleosides and diphosphate. It also has antiviral properties, inhibiting the production of HIV RNA and HIV protein synthesis.
