Bendamustine is a synthetic compound, which has been shown to have oncosis (cancer-causing) properties. Bendamustine can be administered intravenously as a dry powder or in tablet form and has shown efficacy against neoplastic cells. Its mechanism of action involves binding to DNA and inhibiting the synthesis of RNA and DNA, thereby interfering with cell division. The drug also binds to erythrocytes, leading to methemoglobinemia.
