Poly(oxy-1,2-éthanediyl), α-[4-(1,1,3,3-tétraméthylbutyl)cyclohexyl]-ω-hydroxy- est un tensioactif non ionique caractérisé par son squelette en polyéthylène glycol (PEG) hydrophile et un groupe alkyle hydrophobe dérivé d'une structure cyclohexyle. Polyoxyethylene (10) isooctylcyclohexyl ether is a bacteriostatic agent that inhibits the synthesis of amino acids, nucleotides, and phospholipids in bacteria. It also has an acid-stabilizing effect on urine. Polyoxyethylene (10) isooctylcyclohexyl ether has been shown to be effective against methicillin-resistant staphylococcus. This drug also dephosphorylates myosin phosphatase and other pharmacological agents, thereby inhibiting their activity.
