2-Chloro-N-methylpyridin-4-amine is a medicinal compound that has been shown to have a potential antitumor effect. It has been shown to inhibit the kinase Chk1, which is involved in DNA damage response pathways. 2-Chloro-N-methylpyridin-4-amine also inhibits the tumor growth in human tumor xenografts. This drug is orally bioavailable and shows a good pharmacokinetic profile in mice. It also has an optimized structure that leads to increased potency and reduced toxicity. 2-Chloro-N-methylpyridin-4-amine was tested in tumor xenografts and showed promising results with regards to tumor shrinkage and response rates.
