Deoxynyboquinone is a cell-permeable, potent and selective peptide inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE) with IC50 value of 0.8 μM. It has been shown to inhibit AChE in vitro with an IC50 of 0.8 μM. Deoxynyboquinone has also been shown to be a modulator of protein interactions and a ligand for some receptors.
