Scriptaid
CAS :Scriptaid is an inhibitor of DNA methyltransferases that is used to treat infectious diseases. It can inhibit the growth of a wide range of bacteria, including those that are resistant to other antibiotics. Scriptaid has been shown to be effective in vitro against a variety of bacterial strains, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Scriptaid also inhibits the growth of human squamous carcinoma cells and fetal bovine serum cells that have been infected with HIV. In addition, it stimulates the production of neurotrophic factors in human serum, which may be due to its inhibition of histone methylation. The emission spectra consist of two bands at 400 nm and 480 nm with a maximum at 450 nm.
