4-Amino-5-chloro-2-methoxybenzamide
CAS :4-Amino-5-chloro-2-methoxybenzamide is a secondary amine that is synthesized from the reaction of diethylaminoethyl chloride and chlorinating agents. 4-Amino-5-chloro-2-methoxybenzamide has low potency in vitro and is not active in vivo. It does not have an effect on 5HT4 receptors, but it has been shown to be a potent agonist for 5HT4 receptors in vitro. The synthesis of 4-amino-5-chloro-2 methoxybenzamide can be done by reacting diethylaminoethyl chloride with chlorinating agents. This synthesis reaction produces the desired product with low potency, which may be due to the presence of other products such as quaternary ammonium salts and chloride.
