Applications Pyrazinenitrile (Pyrazinamide EP Impurity) is used as a single-source precursor in the synthesis of metal-free nitrogen-doped carbon nanoparticles (NCNPs). Also, it is an important intermediate in the production of pyrazinamide as an effective anti-tubercular drug.

Applications 2-Methyl-pyrazine is an intermediate used to synthesize 5-Methyl-2(1H)-pyrazinone (M324900) which is a derivative of 2-Hydroxypyrazine (H952710). 2-Hydroxypyrazine (H952710) is used in the synthesis of potential antioxidants.
