This Reagecon Density Standard Premium Range 0.6878 g/mL at 25°C is manufactured and tested in accordance with ASTM D1480-12 for testing of density or relative density (specific and API gravity). It is tested by Bingham Pycnometry and can be used as a calibration or control standard for density measurement by pycnometer, vibrational, or hydrometer (specific gravity) based techniques. - The Test Method used by Reagecon for testing density standards using Bingham Pycnometers is accredited to ISO 17025 (A2LA Ref: 6739.03). Reagecon’s Total Base Number (TBN) Titration Solvent 1:1:1 Propan-2-ol, Chloroform and Toluene for ASTM D4739 is used by dissolving the sample in this solution and titrating potentiometrically with a solution of perchloric acid in glacial acetic acid. The test method is used for both new and used petroleum products that may contain basic constituents that may be present as additives. The test may also be used as a measure of lubricant degradation, but any condemning limits based on the test must be established on an individual basis.
