Reagecon's Sodium Chloride 0.05M (0.05N) Analytical Volumetric Solution (AVL) is a fully factorised, high purity, stable product, developed and tested for titrations.  This Analytical Volumetric Solution, also called titrant, standard titrant or standard solution, is tested to a specification of ± 0.1%. It is a reagent of known concentration, that is dispensed from a burette or other dispensing apparatus to a sample (analyte), until a reaction between the two liquids is judged to be complete.  The product may be used for manual titrations, or more commonly automatic titrations, to determine the end points by detection of any of several properties. - Titration is a rapid, economical and versatile analytical tool. Reagecon's Osmolality Standard 300 mOsm/kg is tested by our ISO 17025 Accredited Test Method (A2LA Ref: 6739.03). Reagecon's Methyl Red Indicator 0.1% Alcoholic Solution is a high quality Indicator Solution produced from the highest quality raw materials and manufactured and tested under rigorous conditions. For manual titrations; indicator titrant or analyte change colour and this colour change is by far the most important method of end point detection, in such titrations. This standard is an aqueous suspension of a formazin type product that carries all of the advantages of formazin but eliminates its shortcomings. It is stable; safe; EPA approved and accurate. - Reagecon have developed a proprietary synthetic process that produces a family of products called Turbiform™. Reagecon's Saybolt +19 Colour Standard can be used to calibrate, control, qualify or validate colour measurement instruments. This includes ASTM specified methods D 156 and D 6045. The standard is particularly suited for colour grading light coloured petroleum products.

This Reagecon Density Standard Quality Range 0.7614 g/mL at 80°C is manufactured and tested in accordance with ASTM D4052 for testing of density or relative density (specific and API gravity). Concentrated or saturated Potassium Chloride (KCl) is the optimal electrolyte and filling solution for potentiometric titrations, direct pH measurement, redox or ion measurement where silver/silver chloride or calomel reference electrodes are used. However, saturated KCl is only sparingly soluble below 20°C, so if measurements below this temperature are to be carried out 4M Potassium Chloride remains in solution and confers an advantage over saturated potassium chloride. - A good electrolyte must fulfil a number of conditions.
