<p>This high-throughput method measures residual E. coli host cell DNA. It uses our proprietary extraction procedure, which isolates residual DNA without the use of iodine or glycogen. Cell line-specific E. coli DNA calibrators are included, and upon completion of extraction, samples are reacted with PicoGreen® solution. Time to completion is under 2 hours for multiple samples and multiple deep well plates.Each kit supplies enough reagents for the analysis of 96 samples.</p>

<p>Expression of therapeutic proteins in Vero cell lines is a cost-effective method for production of commercial quantities of a drug substance. However, the manufacturing and purification process of these products leaves the potential for residual DNA contamination from the host cells. This kit is designed to measure Vero host cell residual DNA for the purpose of process development, in-process monitoring, and QC lot release testing.</p>

<p>The kit is for use in determining the presence of host cell DNA impurities (to 1 part per billion) in products manufactured by recombinant expression in CHO cell lines. It contains reagents for DNA extraction as well as calibrated DNA standards and primers for DNA amplification in a microplate format, but it does not contain PCR master mix. This kit allows you to test samples with very high concentrations of drug substance without the need for excessive sample dilutions, which effectively lowers the LLOQ of the assay when compared to similar methods.</p>
