CAS :<p>Isovaleryl-Val-Val-Sta-OEt is a peptide hormone and active inhibitor of the enzyme pepsin. This drug has been shown to have proteolytic activity in vitro, with a pepsin rate constant of 0.0015 min−1. It also inhibits the protease activity of trypsin, chymotrypsin, and elastase at a similar rate. Isovaleryl-Val-Val-Sta-OEt has been shown to be an active inhibitor of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and reverse transcriptase activities.
