Description

4-Aminothiophenol is used in the synthesis of pectin-4-aminothiophenol conjugates and it forms self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) in the development of DNA. It is used in the detection of thrombin by protein recognition using surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), which finds applications in silver and gold nano particles.
