The use of Cyclopiazonic acid on Langendorff-perfused murine hearts displayed anti-arrhythmic effects. Also, administration of cyclopiazonic acid on rat soleus muscle showed a decrease in hormone sensitive lipase activity and triacylglycerol hydrolysis. It is also used as an inhibitor of endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+-ATPase. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio.
