• Description: Reagecon's Primary Opalescent Suspension is used as a reference material to ascertain the clarity and degree of opalescence of liquids in accordance with European Pharmacopoeia Chapter 2 (2.2.1).; - This Primary Opalescent Suspension is a ready to use Standard presented in high quality, tamper evident bottles for use in calibrating Comparators, Turbidimeters and Nephelometers and for controlling the reproducibility of their measurements. This product is a formazin suspension prepared with equal parts hexamethylenetetramine solution and hydrazine sulphate solution. This combination is defined as a 4000 NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units) Primary Reference Standard.; - Concentration verified using a high performance Spectrophotometer or Nephelometer.; - The Primary Opalescent Suspension maybe diluted in precise ratios to form the EP Reference Opalescent Suspensions
