Description :Reagecon Total Base Number (TBN) Standard 0.5 mg/g Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) is a high quality standard that can be used to calibrate; control or validate the methodology or equipment used to perform TBN testing according to ASTM Method D2896.
- Produced in accordance with ASTM D2896.
- Test method D2896 is used for both new and used petroleum products that may contain basic constituents that may be present as additives.
- The test method D2896 may also be used as a measure of lubricant degradation; but any condemning limits based on the test must be established on an individual basis.
- Standards are traceable to NIST.
- The method has a very low uncertainty of measurement.
- Stability is proven (either opened or unopened) for the shelf life of this product.
