Description :The 6-Fluoro-3-indoxyl-beta-D-galactopyranoside is a potent antituberculosis drug belonging to the class of rifamycins. It is highly effective in treating tuberculosis infections due to its bactericidal activity. This active compound works by inhibiting bacterial growth through binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, preventing transcription and replication. Extensive research has shown its high frequency of human activity using a patch-clamp technique on human erythrocytes.
