(+)-cis,trans-Abscisic acid and (S)-(+)-Abscisic acid belong to the family of sesquiterpenes (terpenes of 15 carbon) that has an important role in controlling the maturation and development of plants. ABA, as it is also known, (+)-cis,trans-abscisic acid controls the synthesis of proteins and other metabolytes, to regulate and manage the drought stress caused by environmental factors (Cardoso, 2020). Whilst, (+)cis,trans-abscisic acid is mainly controlling this process, is also involved in many other aspects related to the plant-water relations (Chen, 2019).
