Fenuron is a chemical compound that is used as an anticancer agent and has been shown to inhibit the growth of cells in culture. It has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on various human cancer cell lines, including prostate, breast, colorectal, and lung cancer. Fenuron can also be used to measure the presence of silver in biological samples by using fluorescence probes. The mechanism of action for Fenuron is not well understood but it may involve plasma mass spectrometry or palladium-catalyzed coupling.
