• Description: 2-(2-Hydroxyethoxy)ethan-1-ol octadecanoic acid belongs to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is a solid oral formulation with a diameter of 3.5 mm and has been shown to have skin cell regeneration activity, which may be attributed to the ability of this drug to inhibit protein synthesis in the cells of the epidermis. 2-(2-Hydroxyethoxy)ethan-1-ol octadecanoic acid also inhibits lipid production by lipolytic enzymes, which leads to an anti-inflammatory effect. 2-(2-Hydroxyethoxy)ethan-1-ol octadecanoic acid is not active against bacteria or fungi, but it can inhibit tumor growth by inhibiting proliferation and migration of cancer cells. This compound also has light emission properties that make it useful as a substrate film for semiconductor devices such as LEDs.
