Description

Tert-butyl sulfide is a chemical compound that is classified as an unsaturated hydrocarbon. It is the simplest member of the class of organosulfur compounds called thiols, which are derivatives of sulfuric acid. Tert-butyl sulfide has been shown to have insulin-sensitizing effects and may be used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
