Informations sur le produit
N-(4-Aminobenzenesulfonyl)-3,4-dimethylbenzamide (N-AS) is a sulfonamide compound that has been found to be effective against a mutant strain of C. glutamicum resistant to other sulfa drugs. The sequence of N-AS was determined by the use of automated DNA sequencing techniques and showed that it contains an amino acid sequence that is similar to those found in sulfathiazole and sulfadiazine. N-AS has been shown to be active against corynebacterium, which are gram positive bacteria, and brevibacterium, which are gram negative bacteria. This drug also has an effect on the glucose concentration in C. glutamicum cells and can be used as a molecule for medicines.
