Description

Pyrethrin II is a protein that acts as a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, inducing apoptosis in cancer cells. It is an analog of the natural compound pyrethrin and has been shown to have potent anticancer activity in Chinese hamster ovary cells. Pyrethrin II inhibits the activity of kinases involved in cell cycle progression and promotes apoptosis, leading to tumor growth inhibition. This protein has also been found in human urine and may have potential as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis or prognosis.
