Description

Sodium 1-naphthylamine-4-sulfonate is a sodium salt of sulfonic acid. It can be used as a coagulant in wastewater treatment. The toxicity of this substance is low, and it does not damage the environment. Sodium 1-naphthylamine-4-sulfonate is a white crystalline powder that dissolves in water with heat. It has good solubility and can be used as a raw material for the production of synthetic polycarboxylic acids. The binding constants for this compound are high, which make it an excellent ligand for metal ions such as copper, nickel, and zinc. Sodium 1-naphthylamine-4-sulfonate can also be used to extract fatty acids from animal fats or vegetable oils.
