Description :
Piperidine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid is an acidic compound that contains two piperidine rings. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of synthase enzyme and can be used as a herbicide. This compound also binds with high affinity to the receptor desensitization site on the lysine binding site of the NMDA receptor. Piperidine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid may act as a stereoisomer with respect to its chiral centers and isomers.
