Description

Flavoglaucin is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of natural compounds. It has been found to have potential as a drug target for inflammation and allergic reactions, as it inhibits the function of PTP1B and LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Flavoglaucin also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines from LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. The anti-inflammatory properties may also be related to its inhibition of tyrosinase activity in melanoma cells. Flavoglaucin is an endophytic fungus that can be found on plants such as garlic and onion.
