Description

Galgravin is a natural compound that belongs to the family of antimicrobial agents. It is a protocatechuic acid glycoside derived from Ganoderma lucidum, which has been shown to have antitumor and anti-inflammatory properties. Galgravin is also an effective inhibitor of Leishmania parasites, inhibiting their growth and development by interfering with nucleic acid metabolism. This compound has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of dNTPs in rat neuronal cells, resulting in neuronal death and neuroprotection. Galgravin is a chemical substance that can be found in many food items such as wine, tea, chocolate, and cheese.
