Description

Tropacocaine is a chemical analog of cocaine that has been shown to have anticancer properties. It acts as an inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases, which are enzymes involved in the regulation of cell division and proliferation. Tropacocaine has been found to induce apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells, particularly in Chinese hamster ovary cells and human tumor cells. It also inhibits the activity of protein kinases, which play a role in the development and progression of cancer. Tropacocaine has potential as an anticancer drug and its presence can be detected in urine samples using specific protein inhibitors.
