Description :
3-Bromopropyl acetate is an experimental chemical with a tripodal structure. It has been used in the synthesis of glycols and as a sedative. 3-Bromopropyl acetate was also found to be an optimal condition for the alkylation reaction between triols and aliphatic bromides. 3-Bromopropyl acetate is a dimer that forms supramolecular complexes with other molecules. The analgesic effect of this compound has been proposed to be due to its interaction with opioid receptors.
