Description :2-Methoxyethyl chloroformate is an organic chemical compound that has a hydroxyl group. It is also known as 2-Methoxyethyl acetate or MEC. This substance can be used to produce other chemicals such as pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and herbicides. 2-Methoxyethyl chloroformate is used in the synthesis of peptides and proteins, which are important for cellular functions.
