Description :
1-Bromoanthraquinone is a reactive organic solvent that can be used in the synthesis of polymers. It reacts with anions to form cations, which can then be transferred to other compounds. The reaction system is called kinetic and proceeds in two stages, which are called preparative and transfer reactions. 1-Bromoanthraquinone dissociates in water, forming hydrogen bromide and anion radicals. This process is catalyzed by metal ions such as silver or copper. In addition, 1-bromoanthraquinone is insoluble and has photocurrents when exposed to light. It can be used as a photoelectrochemical cell for the production of renewable energy from solar power or natural light sources.
