Description

Glycyl-DL-leucine is a free amino acid that can be found in the human body. It is a receptor binding molecule and has been shown to have an effect on locomotor activity, energy metabolism, and enzyme activities. Glycyl-DL-leucine has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of dopamine by inhibiting the conversion of tyrosine to L-DOPA in the brain. This compound also inhibits various enzymes, including synthetase and esterases. Glycyl-DL-leucine has been shown to have anticancer effects in some animal studies, but more research is needed before it can be used as a treatment for cancer in humans.
