Description

1-Decene is a hydrocarbon with a boiling point of 40°C. It is a colorless liquid that has a phase transition temperature of -78°C. 1-Decene has a chemical composition of C10H20 and contains 10 carbon atoms, 20 hydrogen atoms, and no nitrogen atoms. The sample preparation for 1-decene includes the use of solvents such as hexane, petroleum ether, benzene, or chloroform. The UV absorption spectrum for 1-decene ranges from 190 to 270 nm and the kinetic data for this compound is determined by measuring the reaction rate at different temperatures.
