Description :
5-Methyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-indene is an alkyl ether that has been shown to have a strong adsorption effect for the removal of aldehydes from reaction mixtures. It is also used as an adsorbent for the removal of aldehydes from various gas streams. This compound can be used in catalytic reactions that involve interaction between two molecules, and it can also be used to hydrogenate ethers. 5-Methyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-indene is also an intermediate in the production of other organic compounds.
