Description

Cephalexin hydrate is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that belongs to the group of cephalosporin antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of streptococcal pharyngitis, as well as many other infections caused by bacteria. Cephalexin hydrate is stable in culture media and has been shown to be biocompatible with polymers such as polyvinyl chloride. This drug has been shown to have no significant interactions with other drugs, making it an attractive candidate for use in clinical trials. Cephalexin hydrate may also be useful as a model system for bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
