5-tert-Butyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindole-1,3-dione is an experimental drug that is currently in clinical use. It has been shown to bind to serotonin receptors in the central and peripheral nervous system. 5-tert-Butyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindole-1,3-dione has been shown to be effective against depression and anxiety disorders. 5HT7 receptor agonists may have a potential role in treating these conditions.
