Description

Dibekacin sulfate is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with a strong bactericidal effect. It is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including many strains resistant to other antibiotics. Dibekacin sulfate has been shown to be effective in treating infections caused by Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Proteus mirabilis. This drug can also be used to treat microbial infections of the skin and soft tissues, such as boils and abscesses. Dibekacin sulfate is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and should not be taken orally. The use of benzalkonium chloride as a preservative may cause toxic effects on the skin or mucous membranes.
