Informations sur le produit
Methyl benzo[b]thiophene-4-carboxylate is a sulfone that has been synthesized for use as an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds. The cyclic amine is decarboxylated to produce the corresponding acid and then treated with x-rays to form the adduct. X-ray analysis revealed that methyl benzo[b]thiophene-4-carboxylate forms two different adducts, which are identified by their different x-ray patterns. One of these adducts is formed with one molecule of methyl benzo[b]thiophene-4-carboxylate and one molecule of x-rays, while the other adduct contains four molecules of methyl benzo[b]thiophene-4-carboxylate and four molecules of x-rays. The diels alder reaction was used to form an unstable intermediate, which when heated produced the desired product.
